Kingsburg Elementary offers Band Programs at Reagan Elementary and Rafer Johnson Jr High.

At Reagan we start with a thriving Beginning Bands in 5th grade and Intermediate Bands in 6th grade. Sixth graders have the opportunity to join our outstanding Mustang Honor Band by invitation or audition.
 
At RJJH we have an award winning Concert Band, Marching Band and Jazz Band. These bands are created with students enrolled in our Woodwinds and Brass/Percussion classes. We consistently earn Excellent, Superior and Unanimous Superior ratings at festivals throughout the Valley.

 We teach musicianship, leadership, discipline and social skills through music education. Students learn to ‘Be Part of the Band’ which is our motto. They learn collaboration and accountability through work in large group and small group settings.
 
Our Band Council members are elected each year and work tirelessly to uphold our values of servant leadership. All band members work together to improve musicianship and they build community within and outside of the band room.
 
We honor outstanding students with Annual Awards: Outstanding Students per grade level, Outstanding Marchers, Most Improved students, Scales completed, Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the John Phillip Sousa Award. We also honor our outstanding 8th graders with membership in the National Honor Society TRI-M.
