Music - Band and Choir
Students learn music fundamentals in a supportive, nurturing environment. Teachers use music as a means to explore multicultural traditions, world history, and languages from around the globe. Students in grades 2 - 8 participate in at least one on site concert per year. Middle school students are given the opportunity to specialize in music through percussion concert, symphonic band, honor choir and concert choir. Students in grades 7 and 8 also have the opportunity to participate in festivals.
Athletics
KECSD believes athletics are an extension of the academic program. Students benefit by learning sportsmanship, ethics, integrity, teamwork, competition, and how to win and lose gracefully.
